Jon Jones will be okay, but he sparked a lot of interest with a pair of Instagram videos Thursday.
The UFC light heavyweight champion posted videos of him getting stitched up after suffering a cut, causing many to speculate that his title defense at UFC 178 against Daniel Cormier could be in jeopardy.
His manager, Malki Kawa, told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani that Jones will be “fine” after the incident.
He posted another vid (see below) to explain the situation.
FYI this is a completely different scar than the one I had in that area previously, they’re not even touching… The four stitches will be out in four days. The wound should be healed within a week. Time for me to start wearing my head gear #adversityisnothing
