Jose Aldo On Conor McGregor: “A Kitten When He’s Getting Beat Up”

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo believes Conor McGregor should end his time away from the 145-pound division and defend his title.

While McGregor’s name continues to sit atop the rumor report for UFC 200 and Nate Diaz, in a recent interview, Aldo completely went all “Notorious” on the champion.

“You will come back (to the featherweight division) with your tail between your legs after what happened, after that embarrassment,” Aldo told Esporte Espetacular (thanks to MMAFighting.com for the quotes). “You will come back. My hand almost caught you, but when it does for good, you will sleep.

“He’s a lion when he’s attacking, but a kitten when he’s getting beat up. Everybody saw in his eyes that he’s just a (expletive) that quits when he’s getting beat up. That’s what we saw.”

McGregor lost to Diaz via second round rear-naked choke, but the two appear to be set for a rematch this July. Along with Aldo, Frankie Edgar has also been calling for a shot at the UFC title.
