It looks like Jose Aldo has some clear-cut goals lined up.
The former UFC Featherweight Champion took part in a Q&A with UFC Fight Club members in Brazil prior to the official UFC 198 weigh-ins in Curitiba on Friday. During the Q&A session, Aldo spoke about how he feels his upcoming interim Featherweight title fight against Frankie Edgar will be different than their first meeting inside the Octagon, which Aldo won via decision.
“I don’t think it will be like the first one,” said Aldo. “He’s coming differently, but when we get into it he will go back to his game, and that’s when we’re catching him. I revised my concepts, we learn a lot with the losses, and I learned.”
Aldo went on to promise that he will “run through” Edgar before offering to fight reigning UFC Featherweight Champion “The Notorious” Conor McGregor in the streets.
“I will get there and run through (Edgar). It doesn’t matter what happens, we will win the fight,” he said. “After that, we will get (McGregor) even if it’s in the streets.”
UFC 200: Cormier vs. Jones II is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
