The co-main event for the upcoming UFC 151: Jones vs. Henderson has seen a change as former welterweight contender Josh Koscheck (17-6) has been forced off the card with a back injury leaving Jake ‘The Juggernaut’ Ellenberger (27-6) without an opponent for the Vegas event.

Execs with UFC Tonight broke the news via Twitter (@UFCTonight) revealing the culprit as a “bulging disc in his back” and then confirmed by UFC officials afterwards at UFC.com.

Due to an injury, Josh Koscheck has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 151 co-main bout against Jake Ellenberger. The news broke on the August 7 episode of FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight;” a replacement opponent for Ellenberger will be announced soon.

UFC 151: Jones vs. Henderson is expected to take place on September 1, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Koscheck had his last fight in May of this year, losing a split decision to Johny Hendricks at the UFC on FOX 3 show in New Jersey. The defeat ended a two fight win streak for the former welterweight contender.

Ellenberger also suffered a defeat in his last fight, suffering a second round knockout at the hands of Martin Kampmann at the TUF 15 Finale this past June. That fight ended a six fight win streak for ‘The Juggernaught” who won a decision over Diego Sanchez last February for his last victory.
