Khabib Nurmagomedov just wanted to fight at UFC on FOX 19.
The unbeaten lightweight contender missed several months of action with injuries himself, so when Tony Ferguson was forced out, Nurmagomedov begged for an opponent.
Officials signed prospect Darrell Horcher to face “The Eagle,” and Horcher took him to the second round before falling Saturday night.
After, Nurmagomedov offered his respect to Horcher and even extended an invitation to help him train later on down the road.
Respect to @HorcherMMA.You are the man, you took this fight shortly and gave me a chance to come back. You can rely on my help in future.
