Ariane Lipski kept things rolling earlier tonight (Sat., July 18, 2020) at UFC Fight Island 2 live on ESPN+ from inside Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, when “Queen of Violence” finished rising prospect Luana Carolina via first-round submission (kneebar).
Lipski wasted no time living up to her nickname and blitzing Carolina with a barrage of strikes. An exchange along the fence saw Lipski drop Carolina with a punch to the body. Lipski would leap on top and the two flyweights oddly tangled during a transition or two. The position allowed Lipski to bend Carolina’s knee and force the quick tap.

With this performance, Lipski earns another win at 125 pounds after defeating Isabela de Padua via unanimous decision last November. “Queen of Violence” brought a lot of hype with her when she made her UFC debut early last year, but didn’t immediately live up to her billing. This recent string of success should now propel Lipski up the ladder in the women’s flyweight division, especially if she continues to turn in finishes like this one.
