Streaking UFC light heavyweight contender Ilir Latifi will try to continue his winning ways when he takes on wrestler Corey Anderson at UFC 232 on Dec. 29 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, per a recent announcement on FOX Sports 1’s UFC Tonight (Kimura.se originally reported the bout).

Latifi, 35, is coming off a sensational first-round submission victory over former UFC title challenger Ovince Saint Preux back in February. “Sledgehammer” has now won two straight since getting flattened by Ryan Bader two years ago. He may not be the most active contender at 205 pounds, but a divisional record of 7-3 has Latifi on the doorstep of title contention. A win over Anderson this December should put him one step closer.

Anderson, 28, is fresh off a unanimous decision win over former UFC title challenger Glover Teixeira back in July. While “Beastin’ 25/8” hasn’t shown the best consistency within the division’s top 10, his wrestling abilities are good enough to control almost every fighter in the division. It should be interesting to see how he handles the the overall power of Latifi in close quarters.

UFC 232 will be headlined by a women’s superfight between UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and UFC bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes.
