Before WWE superstar Brock Lesnar even thinks about stepping foot back inside of the Octagon he’ll need to pay that pesky $250,000 fine he was dished out after failing drug tests for UFC 200 back in 2016.

Lesnar was also suspended for one year by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), but that obviously won’t affect his return to the cage considering Lesnar’s UFC 200 clash with Mark Hunt happened over two years ago.

According to a recent report by MMA Weekly, Lesnar has yet to open his wallet and hand over the $250,000 to NSAC. That means that Lesnar remains indefinitely suspended.

“(Lesnar) is still suspended based on his fine,” NSAC executive director Bob Bennett told MMA Weekly back in July. “He is required to pay the fine or set up a payment plan with the Attorney General’s Office (to get cleared from the suspension).”

Seems like Lesnar needed all of the $2.5 million he earned for UFC 200.

While Lesnar has already been linked to a return title fight against current UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, nothing can be finalized until “Beast Incarnate” settles the score with the Nevada Commission. Until that happens, any proposed superfight or rumored comeback will be put on the back burner.

Of course, if it really came down to it, I’m sure UFC would pick up the bill should Lesnar decline to pay.
