During the build-up to his first defense as UFC Middleweight Champion at this Saturday’s UFC 199 pay-per-view, one thing is for sure, Luke Rockhold is not lacking confidence.
In addition to his prediction for a spectacular first-round knockout of Michael Bisping at this Saturday’s event, which goes down at The Forum in Inglewood, California, Rockhold is also claiming he is on another level compared to longtime UFC Middleweight king Anderson Silva, noting that he always has been.
“Bisping stays true to who he is,” said Rockhold of his performance against Silva. “He always fights to the best of his ability. Bisping was dominating. This is a completely different fight. Anderson Silva isn’t on my level. He never was.”
Rockhold continued, explaining that he has evolved his game so much that not only does Bisping not stand a chance, but former champion Chris Weidman doesn’t either.
“Bisping doesn’t know the jump I’ve made,” said Rockhold. “I’ve learned more. I’ve gained more. He’s the same man. [Chris] Weidman doesn’t have a chance and [Bisping] doesn’t have a chance. None of these guys have a chance. I’m going to find my mark. Hopefully Bisping can keep running his mouth and get people excited and keep putting money in my pocket.”
