MMA H.E.A.T.’s Karyn Bryant caught up with UFC Lightweight Mac Danzig while he trained at PKGLA a few weeks before his fight at UFC Live 6. Mac will be facing Matt Wiman in a rematch: he lost their first fight at UFC 115 amid controversy, when referee Yves Lavigne called a stoppage even though the guillotine choke was not threatening Mac’s consciousness. Mac talks about that fight and his quest to avenge the loss, his return to winning after a 3 fight losing streak and what it meant to be crowned The Ultimate Fighter in Season 6 of that show. He also recounts one of the bloodiest fights in UFC history, in which he battled against Jim Miller. BTW: Mac’s sparring sessions feature former WEC and current BAMMA USA fighter Chad George and VMAT fighter, Steve Magdaleno.
