Recently crowned number one contender to the 135 womens crown, Meisha Tate is looking forward to a rematch against current Strikeforce Womens Champion Sarah Kaufmann. Tate won both her matches via decision, using her superior wrestling and ground control to gain victories over Maiju Kujala and Hitomi Akano and now have a future chance at the title. The tournament format seemed to work out well, with neither woman seeming the worse for wear after their initial matches. Expect more of the format from Strikeforce as well as other rival promotions.
