Former UFC lightweight champion Jens “Lil’Evil” Pulver (24-14-1) had been scheduled to face Mike Powell at the upcoming TFC 18 event, but the Kansas Athletic Commission, which will over see the Titan FC show, would not let Powell compete due to a TKO loss in April at The Cage Inc. event in North Dakota.

According to Sherdog.com’s source, Titan officials were unaware that Powell was participating in the April contest, as was the Kansas Athletic Commission, which will oversee TFC 18 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City. Upon learning that Powell had suffered a knockout, the commission reportedly decided that Powell would not be allowed to compete on May 27.

Titan FC 18 will take place on May 27 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. The main card is expected to air on HDNet and features other well known names such as Drew McFedries, Rudy Bears, and Rory Markham.

After suffering six straight losses which included seeing him released from the WEC promotion, Pulver has managed to end the losing skid by winning two straight in 2011. “Lil’Evil” earned victories at an XFO event in January and a Chicago Cagefighting Championship event in March.
