UFC logoThe Ultimate Fighting Championship announced a trio of bouts for it’s upcoming Pittsburgh event for UFC on Versus 4.

Added to the show is a heavyweight bout between undefeated Matt Mitrione (4-0), Christian Morecraft (7-1), lightweights Joe Lauzon (19-6) vs. Curt Warburton (7-2), and “TUF 12″ finalist Michael Johnson (8-5) vs. Edward Faaloloto (2-1).

All three were announced on UFC.com, with UFC President Dana White offering a comment.

Heavyweight bangers Matt Mitrione and Christian Morecraft will meet in Pittsburgh on June 26th. “Big men collide as verbal agreements are in for 7-1 Christian Morecraft vs. undefeated Matt Mitrione in a heavyweight matchup,” said White.

In lightweight news, TUF favorite Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon and Curt “The War” Warburton have agreed to throw down. A lightweight bout has also been agreed to between TUF 12 runner-up Michael Johnson and Hawaiian slugger Edward Faaloloto, a WEC alum. Those fights will take place June 26 at UFC on Versus in Pittsburgh.

UFC on Versus 4 will be held at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 26. The main card will air live on Versus in the US, while Canadians can tune in to Rogers Sportsnet to watch the live event.

Mitrione is a former cast member of the tenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter” who started his professional career with the shows Finale. His last fight was in January at the Fight for the Troops 2 show, earning a first round TKO win over Canadian Tim Hague. Morecraft is 1-1 in the UFC, earning his first win with the promotion a few weeks ago against Sean McCorkle. He choked out the internet trash talker in the second round at UFC Fight Night 24.

Former “TUF 5″ alum Lauzon will look for a win after a submission loss to George Sotiropoulos at UFC 123, putting him at 1-1 in his last two fights. One thing going for Lauzon is four straight “Fight Night” bonuses, including six bonuses out of nine UFC bouts. Wolfslair fighter Warburton is 1-1 in the UFC, having come off a unanimous decision win over Maciej Jewtuszko at UFC 127. The Brit is 3-1 in his lasat four fights.

Johnson makes his first appearance since losing in the “TUF 12 Finale” to Jonathan Brookins. The “Finale” loss ended a three fight pro win streak for “The Menace” who scored four straight win on the Spike television series to make it to the finals. Faaloloto makes his UFC debut, after making one appearance with the WEC. The Hawaiian earned two wins with the X-1 promotion and then suffered a TKO loss to Anthony Njokuani at WEC 52 last November.
