A day after UFC featherweight Eddie Yagin was forced off next months UFC on FOX 5 event with a head injury, officials with the promotion have found a replacement in California fighter Nam Phan (18-10).
Phan will now meet German based fighter Dennis ‘The Menace’ Siver (20-8) on the preliminary card.
Officials with the UFC confirmed the news on Twitter (@UFCONFOX) Wednesday afternoon.

UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz is expected to take place on December 8, 2012 at KeyArena in Seattle, Washington.
Phan is 2-1 in his last three bouts having won a split decision against Cole Miller in August as part of the UFC on FOX 4 event. The TUF 12 alum lost a decision to Jimy Hettes at UFC 141 while earning a decision against Leonard Garcia at UFC 136 in a “Fight of the Night” match before that.
Siver made his featherweight debut this past April at UFC on FUEL TV 2, winning a decision over Diego Nunes. The win put the German based fighter back into the win column following a loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC 137. Siver is 5-1 in his last six Octagon appearances.
