UFC 243 saw Israel Adesanya unify the middleweight titles by knocking out Robert Whittaker in the second round. It was a breakout performance for Adesanya, who made his UFC debut just two years ago, and he did it in front of 57,000 people in the Marvel stadium.

PROS: Walk off KO as Tafa came rushing in. For heavyweights, that’s the best possible outcome. What’s not to like?
CONS: Unless you’re Tafa, none.

PROS: Lima kept technical, had a bunch of nice leg kicks, and slowly picked him apart.
CONS: Not the most entertaining contest for those expecting a wild slugfest. Also, who scored that fight for Jumeau? Yikesss.

SPIVAC CHOKES OUT TUIVASA
PROS: Big win for Spivac who took Tuivasa down repeatedly, landed nice elbows, and eventually slept him with a nice arm triangle choke.
CONS: Tuivasa had his moments on the feet, but his ground game needs a lot of work.

CONS: Unless you’re Iaquinta, or his leg, none.

ADESANYA KNOCKS OUT WHITTAKER
PROS: Star making performance for Adesanya, who kept calm and found the right moments to counter. Expect UFC to heavily promote him after this big win
CONS: Whittaker tried sooo hard to take him out really early,and it just got him badly countered

UFC 243 OVERALL:
PROS: Adesanya’s walkout plus his performance was terrific. 57,000 people. That massive stadium show had that big fight feel. Those graphics they added was a nice touch too.
CONS: Nothing much, but I wish Adesanya and Whittaker had a cut on those 57,000 tickets
