Nate Diaz is taking Rafael dos Anjos’ place at UFC 196 across the octagon from Conor McGregor. Donald Cerrone was one of several competitors who wanted the fight, but the UFC chose Nate Diaz to fight McGregor. Dos Anjos took to Twitter and blasted McGregor for not fighting Cerrone.

“Why Gregor didn’t pick Cerrone to fight!? He loves some out of shape with 10 days notice like Mendez. Want 2 belts? Gotta beat me.”

UFC President Dana White recently commented on rumors of Diaz currently being out-of-shape, saying Diaz had been training for a triathlon prior to the fight announcement, and he’s in “phenomenal shape right now.” Diaz and McGregor are scheduled to fight at UFC 196 on March 5th, and Las Vegas oddsmakers have McGregor favored to win.

Anjos is expected to return from his foot injury in time for UFC 200 in July.
