Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson made good on his word about an upcoming bout with Glover Teixeira.
The UFC’s official webpage confirmed Wednesday night that Jackson vs. Teixeira has been added to UFC on FOX 6, the first major UFC card for 2013.
Rampage tipped the fans off about the Jan. 26 card, which takes place at the Chicago, Illinois United Center, with a tweet he sent out on Tuesday.
Outside the cage I hate no one. Life is too short for that. In side the cage my Job is to destroy! Glover is done on Jan 26 n Chicago..

The top-tier 205-pounders were originally scheduled to face off at UFC 153, but Teixeira instead ended up defeating Fabio Maldonado on the card since Jackson withdrew from the bout with an elbow injury.
Teixeira comes into the bout riding an incredible 17-fight win streak, including two finishes in the Octagon, while Jackson has lost back-to-back fights to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former “Ultimate Fighter” winner Ryan Bader.
UFC.com also reports several other new and exciting bouts added to the card, including a showdown between lightweight contenders Donald Cerrone vs. Anthony Pettis and the featherweight debut of Clay Guida, who takes on Hatsu Hioki.
While Jones is currently set to defend his title against Chael Sonnen on April 27, the winner of Rampage-Teixeira will likely immediately enter the title conversation at 205 pounds.
