Roughly a month after finishing his first opponent since 2008, former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson thrust his name into the news again—this time for an incident unrelated to MMA.

TMZ Sports caught Rampage in the midst of a heated interaction with an unknown man outside a Los Angeles nightclub early Sunday morning.

Fortunately for the anonymous clubber, who had apparently just disrespected Jackson’s girlfriend, the club’s security intervened to squash the beef.

Although from a physical standpoint, Jackson narrowly managed to keep his cool, but the 35-year-old knockout artist didn’t hold his tongue.

“Tell my girlfriend sorry and you ain’t gonna do that s**t no more …Or you about to go to the f***ing hospital,” Jackson said.

When the clubber failed to deliver an immediate apology, Rampage continued his verbal assault by saying: “You think I’m lying? He thinks I’m lying!”

Rampage completed his contractual obligations with the UFC, dropping a unanimous decision to Glover Teixeira to suffer his third straight loss at UFC on Fox 6 in January.

Less than five months later, Rampage signed a bulky contract with Bellator MMA, and then agreed to fight former training partner Tito Ortiz at Bellator 106.

Because Ortiz pulled out of the bout with an injury in October, Jackson got moved to Bellator 108, where he TKO’d former UFC heavyweight Joey Beltran with one second left in the first round.

Fortunately for Jackson, he’s had run-ins with the law in the past, and this time, he wisely exercised his right to walk away after a mini verbal lashing.
