The mega-event known as UFC 200 continues to grow, at least according to reported fights.
The latest to join the July 7 event is a lightweight contest between Joe Lauzon and Diego Sanchez. Vendetta Fighter was the first to report the bout.
Lauzon (25-11) was bested by Evan Dunham in December, dropping him to just 1-2 over his last three. Following wins over Mac Danzig and Micheal Chiesa, the 13-time “bonus” winner was defeated by Al Iaquinta.
Between the Dunham and Iaquinta defeats, the former Ultimate Fighter competitor did finish Takanori Gomi.
Sanchez (26-8) is 2-1 since a pair of setbacks to Myles Jury and Gilbert Melendez, defeating Jim Miller earlier this month. He also defeated Ross Pearson in 2014 and was topped by Ricardo Lamas between the victories.
Like Lauzon, Sanchez has recorded seven “Fight of the Night” honors. He is also a former winner of TUF, having captured the Season 1 middleweight crown.
No bouts have been made official for the card, but previously reported ones include Conor McGregor-Nate Diaz 2, Cain Velasquez-Travis Browne, Johny Hendricks-Kelvin Gastelum and Gegard Mousasi-Derek Brunson.
