Rich Franklin is looking for one more fight before he officially retires, as per John Morgan of MMA Junkie, and there is no better place for this fight to happen than Cincinnati.
The UFC announced its intentions to return to the Queen City May 10.
Fans would love to see Ace perform one more time, and since he has already stated he is calling it quits, this is the event where it makes the most sense to book it. Win or lose, the crowd will send Franklin out the right way—with a standing ovation.
The question comes to be: Who should he fight?
A prospect that has the opportunity to make his name by beating Franklin? Or perhaps another aging athlete? Each option has its pros and cons for the UFC. Regardless, it will be nice to watch the former UFC middleweight champion one more time.
Franklin is not the only local fighter who should be on the card. Here are five more UFC fighters who should be eyed for the Fight Night card in Ohio.
