UFC president Dana White sat front-and-center for a thrilling night of finishes Friday at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 37.
White appeared on the program, which aired live on AXS TV, and commented on when we might see Robbie Lawler – who was also in attendance – back in action to defend his welterweight title and who might challenge him.
“It’s more than likely going to be (Tyron) Woodley,” White said, adding that UFC 201 or 202 would be the event for the fight.
Lawler (27-10) has scored back-to-back title defenes vs. Carlos Condit and Rory MacDonald since winning the belt over Johny Hendricks in 2014. He is on a five-fight win streak overall.
Woodley (15-3) is 4-1 over his last five, with the lone defeat coming to MacDonald. He has not fought since January 2015, though, as a planned title-eliminator with Hendricks was scrapped after the former champion missed weight.
