With just a few weeks left before he makes his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) return at UFC 197 on April 23 opposite surging contender and athletic freak Ovince Saint Preux, former Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones is doing everything in his power to ensure a successful comeback.

Remember, Jones hasn’t fought since defeating current champion Daniel Cormier back at UFC 182 due to a hit-and-run incident in April of 2015, and saw his rematch with “DC” at UFC 197 vanish after the champ got injured.

During his time off, Jones has become an avid gym rat, posting countless workout videos showcasing his new found training regiment (which is something he has lacked in years past). In a recent Instagram video (posted below), the 28-year-old revealed a ridiculous vertical leap.

While some fans would rather talk about Jones’ beef with Cormier leading up to their rematch later in 2016 (assuming “Bones” gets past OSP at UFC 197), other mixed martial arts followers love these split-second windows into the revamped training of the pound-for-pound best fighter on the planet.

The fact that Jones proclaimed he is jumping three inches higher in just 11 days should strike fear into any man’s heart, especially a guy named Ovince. Because even though their clash on April 23 won’t be a high jump competition, the former 205-pound king looks like he’s in the best shape of his life.
