Ryan Jimmo, Hatsu Hioki among 14 fighters cut from the UFC

The UFC’s Reebok era has officially begun, but 14 fighters won’t experience it.

Octagon veterans Ryan Jimmo, Robbie Peralta, Hatsu Hioki and Brian Ebersole are part of the long list of fighters recently released from the promotion, UFC officials have confirmed to MMAFighting.com.

Jimmo (19-5), who criticized the UFC for the Reebok deal for months, was cut following back-to-back losses to Francimar Barroso and Ovince Saint Preux. The Canadian light heavyweight, who impressed in his UFC debut with a seven-second knockout, went 3-4 under the UFC banner.

Peralta (18-6, 1 no-contest) celebrated his last UFC victory over TUF Brazil winner Rony Jason in 2014, losing to Thiago Tavares and Clay Guida after. The featherweight veteran leaves the UFC with four wins in eight bouts.

Hioki (27-9-2), who entered the UFC in 2011 after winning the Sengoku 145-pound title, leaves the promotion after winning only one of his last six bouts, losing to the likes of Charles Oliveira, Ricardo Lamas, and Clay Guida.

Ebersole (51-17-1, 1 no-contest) signed with the UFC after racking up a 68-fight MMA record, and leaves with a 5-3 record under the promotion’s banner. In his last four bouts inside the Octagon, Ebersole went 1-3 with losses to Omari Akhmedov, Rick Story and James Head.

The list of fighters recently cut from the UFC also includes Bentley Syler (5-1, 0-1 in the UFC), Wendell Oliveira Marques (24-9, 0-2 in the UFC), Nolan Ticman (4-3, 0-2 in the UFC), Dhiego Lima (10-4, 1-3 in the UFC), Justin Edwards (8-5, 2-5 in the UFC), Zhang Lipeng (9-9-1, 2-2 in the UFC), Luiz Dutra (11-4-1, 0-2 in the UFC), Josh Sampo (11-5, 1-3 in the UFC), Lisa Ellis (15-10, 0-2 in the UFC), and Jessica Rakoczy (1-5, 0-2 in the UFC).
