Bellator president Scott Coker explained his quick decision to release War Machine, once reports surfaced about his alleged attack on Christy Mack and Corey Thomas, on Monday’s The MMA Hour.
“I was getting details probably a little quicker than some people,” said Coker. “When we saw what happened, we said that was it. We were not going to be associated with that. I feel for his girlfriend.
“He’s got a lot of other things to worry about other than just fighting,” Coker added.
War Machine recently was captured by U.S. Marshals at a hotel in Simi Valley, Calif., on Friday. The former Bellator fighter is currently being held in Ventura County’s Main Jail and has a court date scheduled for Tuesday, August 18.
