The latest of World Victory Road’s event completed itself early this morning in Tokyo, Japan at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The show aired live on HDNet for fans to watch.

Defending his title for a second straight fight was middleweight champ Jorge Santiago who earned a second victory over opponent Kazuo Misaki.

Misaki took to Santiago through most of the fight, earning three of the first four rounds. Behind on the score card the champ came out in the fifth looking to end the fight. After putting Misaki down on the mat, Santiago unleashed several submission attempts and strikes from the top. With just 29 seconds left in the fight, and almost assured a victory on the score card, Misaki’s corner threw in the towel to end the bout at 4:31.

“I showed what champions are made of. This is how I expect to fight.”
