Lightweight superstar Ryan Garcia (23-1, 19 KO) returns to action tomorrow night (Sat., Dec. 2, 2023) live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Toyota Center in Houston, Tex., as “Flash” meets hard-hitting Mexican boxer, Oscar Duarte (26-1-1, 21 KO), in the main event.

Garcia, who is still just 25 years of age, is coming off a crucial knockout loss to WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis earlier this year. It was a big step up in competition for Garcia, who wasn’t supposed to win. Despite suffering the first knockout loss of his career, Garcia gained some good experience in such a high-profile affair.

On Saturday, Garcia will look to get back into the win column while throwing egg in the face of current promoter, Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions. The two sides recently experienced an ugly and very public feud, which has added some extra buzz to this weekend. Garcia even believes Golden Boy is rooting for Duarte, who is also signed to the promotion.

Before the two fighters lock horns live on DAZN from Houston, Tex., they both stepped on the scale Friday afternoon for official weigh ins and one final faceoff (replay HERE). Luckily, Garcia and Duarte both successfully hit weight.

As for their final staredown, that can be seen in the above video player.
