UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem released the latest episode of his video blog series labelled “The Reem Season 2 Episode 8: Roller Coaster”. Overeem is set to face Brock Lesnar next Friday night in Las Vegas in the main event of UFC 141.
The video begins with Overeem training at the Reign Training Center, run by Mark Munoz, then it’s off to the press conference for UFC 141 followed by some PR activities such as photos, video for the promos and autograph signing. Next it’s off to the UFC’s premier on FOX, followed by some more training for what should have been the end of the episode. Instead, Overeem is back in Holland taking his mother to a hospital that specialized in cancer treatment and back into his old gym. Fans get to meet his father who visits Overeem for the first time in his gym. There former opponent Todd Duffee and NCAA wrestler Jared Rosholt help prepare the Dutch fighter for his upcoming match with Lesnar. The video touches on the drug testing incident with the NSAC, with Overeem commenting on how things went down from his end and then more training before the video is finally done.
