Kevin and George from the Uncut Sports Show give their UFC 160 post fight highlights from every fight on the main card from this past Saturday’s UFC 160 event headlined by Cain Velasquez vs Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva 2. The final fight and main event of UFC 160 was a rematch between heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez vs Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. Early on, it looked like “Bigfoot” might have a chance as he deftly avoided Velasquez’s immediate takedown attempt, and then shrugged off a second attempt just moments later. There was no leg kick opening this time. Instead, Velasquez settled in on the feet, flashing a jab and moving forward. When Silva finally decided to load up on a big shot, the champion wasn’t just ready for it, he countered with heavy straight shots right down the pipe, dropping the giant Brazilian.

Junior dos Santos used a spinning heel kick to knock out Mark Hunt in the co-main event of UFC 160: “Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2″ last night (Sat., May 25, 2013) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Cigano” and “The Super Samoan” had spent the previous 14 minutes waging war, exchanging monstrous punches with the deadliest of intentions, some of which landed to seemingly no effect. In fact, Hunt survived an overhand right in the first round that would put any mere mortal to sleep in an instant. Perhaps it did more damage than we realized when he popped right back up, because the spinning kick that finished the job didn’t appear to be thrown with the devastating power Dos Santos puts behind his punches. Either way, it finished the job and put “JDS” in line for another shot at Cain Velasquez and his heavyweight title.

The second fight on the card paired T.J. Grant vs Gray Maynard in a lightweight battle. The next lightweight contender had a chance to make himself known at UFC 160. T.J. Grant earned the spot with dismantling of Gray Maynard on Saturday night. Grant absorbed a few early shots from Maynard, and then landed a right hand that shook Maynard. He had no time to recover, as Grant continued to swarm with punches and knees. Maynard went down, worked his way back to his feet and then was taken back down again. Finally, the bout was stopped at 2:07 in the first round.
