Thiago Alves vs. Patrick Cote full fight video highlights – UFC 210

Former UFC title challengers Thiago Alves and Patrick Cote met in a dangerous collision last night (Sat., April 8, 2017) at UFC 210 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, as “Pitbull” was moving back up to welterweight after a botched experiment at 155 pounds. It didn’t go well for Cote, who made a huge announcement after the fight.

Both men landed throughout the three-round war, but Alves was the one who did more damage. Cote was hitting Alves with a barrage of strikes along the cage in Round 2, but the Brazilian blasted him with a perfect right-handed counter that sent “Predator” to the canvas. Alves had to ward off some looping uppercuts from Cote late into the last round, but “Pitbull” simply landed more offense over the course of 15 minutes. In the end, the returning Alves captured the unanimous decision and edge out a bloodied Cote.

With this win, Alves officially re-enters the mix at 170 pounds. This is the best he has looked in a long time and he could easily climb the rankings in 2017. As for Cote, he retired after the loss and left his gloves in the center of the Octagon.
