medicalsuspensions8dOn Tuesday the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission (PSAC) released a very short list of medical suspensions for this past Sunday’s UFC on Verus 4 (aka UFC Live: Kongo vs. Barry) event.

A total of five fighters received suspensions, with Pat Barry, Christian Morecraft, and Nik Lentz receiving 60-day suspensions. While Matt Grice is forced to sit out a 45-day suspension and Edward Faaloloto will sit for 30-days.

A much shorter list than that last UFC event, UFC 131, which saw the Vancouver Commission hand out suspensions to all twenty-four fighters.

UFC on Versus 4 took place on June 26 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Barry, who competed in the main event against Cheick Kongo, is out for 60-days after his knockout loss to the French fighter. ‘Hype or Die’ will require clearance from a neurologist before he can return to training.

Morecraft was knocked out in the second round by heavyweight opponent Matt Mitrione, and will have to sit for 60-days for precautionary reasons.

Lentz is out for 60-days after his fight with Charles Oliveira. Lentz received an illegal knee in the second round to the head, which was likely a factor in him getting submitted ending the fight. Lentz was sent to hospital where he noted on Twitter (@NikLentz) that he has some broken eye socket which will probably require surgery.

Grice was pounded out by Ricardo Lamas in the first round of their featherweight prelim bout and is benched for 45-days for precautionary reasons.

Finally, Falloloto who made his UFC debut against TUF 13 Finalist Michael Johnson, was saddled with a 30-day precautionary suspension after his first round TKO loss.

HT: MMAWeekly.com for the suspensions.
