A lightweight title fight between champion Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante and Freddy Assuncao will headline the upcoming Titan FC 40 event, officials told MMA Fighting recently.
The card takes place August 5 from the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, Florida. The entire event will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
Cavalcante (20-8-1) claimed the title recently with a first round knockout of Pat Healy. Assuncao (9-1) will be returning to action for the first time in over a year, as he last fought in July when he defeated Cody Bollinger.
The rest of the card includes Jack May vs. Derrick Mehmen, Jose Torres vs. Abdeil Velazquez and Scott Barrett vs. Jeremy Hardy.
