Two Ultimate Fighter alumni were featured in a middleweight bout as Ed Herman faced Tim Creuder.
The two UFC veterans took the center of the Octagon and began to test each other early. Herman began to land early as he connected with a one-two combination on Creduer, followed by a right hook. Both competitors swung at one another but did not land anything significant, until Herman ducked under one of his opponent’s strikes and came in with an uppercut. Again, Both men stood and traded but still did not do any damage.
Herman got inside of Creduer and clinched. While in the tie-up, Herman landed an uppercut that dropped his opponent. He followed it up with some ground-and pound that hurt Creuder and left him defenseless as referee Herb Dean signaled the end of the bout.
The win gives Herman his fifth win since joining the UFC in 2006 and improves his overall record to 22-9-0 in his mixed martial arts career. The loss for Creduer puts the UFC veteran on a two-fight losing steak and results in only his second loss with the promotion since debuting in 2008.
