Fighter salaries for this past weekends TUF 16 FInale: Nelson vs. Mitrione were released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday.
The total payroll for the Las Vegas, Nevada event total $447,000 with heavyweight winners Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson ($48,000) and Pat Barry ($44,000) earning top spot for paydays.
The event took place on December 15, 2012 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with the main card airing on FX, and portions of the prelim card airing on Fuel TV and Facebook.
Earning their “Show Money” for the event, but not actually competing, were lightweights Melvin Guillard ($42,000) and Jamie Varner ($12,000) who saw their bout pulled at the last minute. Varner became ill and was forced pulled from the card by NSAC commissioners.
