A clash between of the two of the UFC’s top bantamweights is set for UFC 173.
T.J. Dillashaw will square off against Takeya Mizugaki at the UFC event slated for May 24 at the MGM Grand Garden Casino in Las Vegas, according to UFC officials Wednesday.
Dillashaw has won four of his past five fights, including a unanimous decision win over Mike Easton at UFC Fight Night 35 on Jan. 14.
Mizugaki has also won four of his past five fights. He defeated Nam Phan via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 33 this past December.
A lightweight contest has also been added to the card. Al Iaquinta, who has won three straight fights, will face off against Mitch Clarke, who has won one of his past three fights. Newsday.com first reported this fight, and then was confirmed by UFC officials.
Chris Weidman will defend his middleweight title in the main event against Vitor Belfort.
