Demian Maia will return to the Octagon next month.
Maia will square off against Mike Pyle in a welterweight contest at UFC Fight Night 49 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. on Aug. 23, according to UFC officials Wednesday.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist has won three of his past five fights, including a unanimous decision win over Alexander Yakovlev at TUF: Brazil 3 on May 31.
Pyle has won four of his past five fights, including a third-round TKO of T.J. Waldburger at UFC 170 on Feb. 22.
A middleweight contest between Thales Leites and Francis Carmont is also slated for the event. Leites has won three straight UFC fights, while Carmont will try to snap a two-fight skid.
The event is headlined by a lightweight clash between Benson Henderson and Rafael dos Anjos.
