Despite the announcement during the post fight press conference that WEC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis would get the next shot at the UFC title, UFC president Dana White announced that Gray Maynard would instead get an immediate rematch with champ Frankie Edgar instead.
White goes on to say, again, that referee Steve Mazagatti is the worst referee in MMA, he berates all the “Morons” for putting down the card before the event even happened saying how great the event was last night, and he says fans can expect more prelim bouts on ION Television in the future.
