Clearly the main event between Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz is the fight that has everyone talking, but it is unlikely to be the fight of the night. The bad blood is there, but the fight doesn’t present the same draw as the fight between Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben.
Waching technicians display their mastery can be entertaining, but a bloodbath like the one we are likely to see between Silva and Leben is must-see TV.
The two both have knockout power and aren’t afraid to stand toe to toe with their opponent. It could result in Silva and Leben exchanging punches.
Assuming this one doesn’t result in an early knockout, it’s going to make for a heck of a fight. Even if it does result in a knockout, it’s not going to disappoint.
As long as neither fighter strays from their game plan by trying to take this one to the ground, this one will likely be the fight of the night.
Leben should try and beat Silva at his own game, while Silva will be undoubtedly trying to prove that he still has it.
The fight card isn’t exactly packed with fights that will transpire in this fashion. Silva Vs. Leben is sure to be non-stop action and excitement throughout.
This middleweight battle will either end with a big knockout or as the top fight. What more could you ask for?
We are seeing far too few of fights like this. Heavy-handed fighters avoiding the ground isn’t just for boxing. UFC could use more fighters like these two.
This one could come down to who has the stronger chin, which is Leben. Then again, Silva may have the internal drive that veteran fighters tend to have on their way out.
One of these fighters could get in trouble early on. It will likely come down to one huge blow or a lethal combination that sends a fighter to the mat.
Many people are excited about the main event, but to miss out on this middleweight fight would be missing out on the most enticing fight of the night.
