This is a rematch from the Rumble on the Rock welterweight tournament, that was eventually won by Jake Shields. Okami gave Anderson his last loss, and that came by disqualification. This is a chance for Anderson to erase his original loss, or for Okami to show that he is legit, and get the credit that he truly deserves.
This fight will be five rounds for the UFC Middleweight Championship of the World.
Round one was a feeling out process. Anderson had the better of the strikes early, but Yushin took control and pressed him against the cage. They were not extremely active with strikes, but more with fighting for position. Anderson landed solid strikes and a nice head kick to end a close round.
Round two, Anderson opens up and drops Okami. He drops his hands like he normally does when he is feeling his rhythm and dropped Okami again and finishes the fight.
This fight shows once again why he is the best pound for pound fighter on the planet.
Now it appears that Anderson will face the winner of Chael Sonnen vs Brian Stann at a date to later be determined.
