This past Memorial Day weekend the Ultimate Fighting Championship held their first ever pure heavyweight main card with UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir in Las Vegas.
On Tuesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the disclosed salaries for all of the events participants, which totaled $1,233,000.
UFC 146 took place on May 26, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with bouts airing live across pay-per-view, FX television, and via streaming video at Facebook.com/UFC.
Event headliners, UFC champ Junior dos Santos and challenger Frank Mir, each earned $200,000 in their fight which saw ‘Cigano’ end things in the second via TKO. Also earning the same payday was co-main event winner Cain Velasquez who finished Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva ($70,000) in the first round.
