UFC Primetime is back in advance of the promotion’s next pay-per-view event, UFC 154.
The latest edition of the pre-fight series, which is reserved for some of the UFC’s most prestigious fight-cards, features Carlos Condit and Georges St-Pierre, the two men who will attempt to unify the welterweight title in Montreal later this month.
As per usual, the Primetime series will air in weekly installments leading up to the night of the fight, which is set for Nov. 17.
The series’ first episode highlights Condit‘s rise to welterweight supremacy, his family life and his drive to overtake St-Pierre as the top 170-pound fighter on the planet.
Condit earned the right to contest St-Pierre by defeating Nick Diaz back on Feb. 4, the same night he took home his interim title.
The show also takes a look at St-Pierre’s recovery from the devastating ACL injury that has kept him sidelined upwards a year, and examines life within the famed Tristar gym.
UFC 154 will mark GSP’s first action inside the Octagon since April 2011, as well as one of the most anticipated returns in the sport’s history.
This first glance at the fighters preparing to do battle at UFC 154 is enough to get any mixed martial arts enthusiast chomping at the bit, and crossing off days on the calendar for the next two weeks.
But until Nov. 17, these Primetime episodes will have to do.
Hang in there.
