The action delivered as promised last night (Sat., July 6, 2019) at UFC 239 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Jon Jones outlasted the heavy-handed Thiago Santos in the main event to retain his UFC light heavyweight title (highlights HERE).
In addition to Jones’ successful title defense, Amanda Nunes took out Holly Holm in the co-main event with a vicious first-round TKO, Jorge Masvidal made UFC history by knocking out Ben Askren in just five seconds, Jan Blachowicz spoiled the light heavyweight debut of former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold with a blistering second-round knockout, and Song Yadong scored a massive knockout finish over Alejandro Perez on the ESPN “Prelims.”
