For you video game nerds out there, this will not be breaking news to you, but for those of you who were not watching Spike TV’s coverage of the EA press conference at E3, you’ll get to find out here.

Dana White appeared at the Electronic Arts press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo to announce that the UFC and EA had signed a “multi-year deal” for the UFC video game franchise.

Many fans were not pleased with the most recent incarnation of the UFC Undisputed series, citing notable snubs from the roster and shoddy online play.

With the UFC leaving THQ and now teaming up with the considerably bigger EA, there will be sure to be fantastic UFC games coming in the future.

In addition, Dana White tweeted: “UFC had done a deal with EA sports for the UFC video game!!!!!!! :)”

There’s one other piece of news that wasn’t stated, but some people out there are sure to speculate on shortly.

Fighters like Randy Couture and Fedor Emelianenko signed their video-game rights to EA. When the next game is released, we may finally see them in action.

The possibilities for the future of the series are now endless, and the next UFC video game could easily become the greatest MMA game in history.
