Another UFC fighter has been taken off a planned fight, as Matheus Nicolau was notified of a potential anti-doping violation.

Nicolau was scheduled to meet Ulka Susaki at UFC Fight Night 100 later this month from Brazil. Nicolau (12-1-1) has won both of his Octagon fights after competing on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4.

His best win to date was a split decision over John Moraga in July at The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale.

Below is a statement from the UFC regarding the potential USADA violation:

“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC anti-doping policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case,” a statement read. “It is important to note that, under the UFC anti-doping policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.

“Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information or UFC statements will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
