UFC Fight Night 102 goes down in Albany, New York this Friday, headlined by an intriguing heavyweight bout. In a strange twist, UFC officials announced last week that the main weigh-ins show had been scrapped. Usually the early weigh-ins segment are the 9-11 AM slot, and the ceremonial show with the staredowns happens in the evening. Not the case this week though.
Instead a taped segment of the early scales show will be published later on today. Derrick Lewis meets Shamil Abdurakhimov in the main attraction. ‘Black Beast’ seemingly takes a step down in competition here, but will do so in the hopes of earning a fifth straight win.
Another heavyweight battle between Franci Ngannou and Anthony Hamilton promises fireworks, and fan favorites Cory Anderson and Sean O’Connell hope to deliver.
