UFC Fight Night 50 is set for Friday, September 5. That’s right—Friday. Don’t let the day-early broadcast pass you by.
The event features a middleweight clash between Gegard Mousasi and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, who are both hoping to state their case for a title shot at 185 pounds. The pairing also marks a reprisal of a 2008 bout that saw Mousasi win the Dream Middleweight Grand Prix via upkick, so there is also a revenge angle at play for Souza.
In the co-main event of the evening, heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Alistair Overeem will look to build on recent victories and move one step closer to challenging for the divisional crown.
