This Friday, November 7, the Octagon will travel to Sydney, Australia, for UFC Fight Night 55.
Though the show is booked for The Land Down Under, its main event will pit United States rep Luke Rockhold against British middleweight stalwart Michael Bisping. Both men are vying to move ever closer to a title shot at 185 and could make some real progress with an impressive showing.
The co-main event of the night is another U.S. vs. England affair, with The Ultimate Fighter winners Al Iaquinta and Ross Pearson squaring off. Both men enter the contest coming off of impressive stoppage wins last time out.
The absence of Australian talent in the two headlining affairs does not mean the host country is not well represented, though. Several native fighters, most notably Robert Whittaker and Soa Palelei, round out the night’s list of participants.
