The marquee matchup on the evening will witness the UFC’s former middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold, returns to action against the former WSOF two-division champion, David Branch. The co-main event for UFC Pittsburgh was supposed to be Mike Perry vs. Thiago Alves, but travel complications forced Alves to pull out, and now Alex Reyes will be stepping up to make his UFC debut, on short notice no less.
Rd.1- Branch moves in aggressively behind his jab, looking to take it to Rockhold. Branch lands consecutive jabs before shoving Rockhold against the fence. Rockhold turns out and finds open space, but Branch lands flush with a beautiful multi-punch combo. Branch achieves a brief takedown, but Rockhold makes his way back to his feet. Rockhold reverses the position and lands some sneaky knees to the body. Branch separates, and lands a big right hand before engaging in the clinch. Back to open space, Rockhold lands a solid leg kick, followed by a cross to the body. Rockhold throws a jumping switch kick, but Branch is unaffected. Rockhold clinches up with his opponent, and completes the takedown despite a minor fence grab from Branch. Rockhold finishes the round on top. 10-9 Branch

Burns transitions to the back, but stands up as the clock winds down, and lands a flurry as the bell sounds. 10-9 Burns
Rd.2- Burns throws an overhand right to start the round, but Saggo absorbs the blow on the arm. Saggo lands a solid kick to the body, and then lands again. Burns kicks to the body, but Saggo catches it, and trips Burns to the canvas. Saggo again towers over Burns, looking to kick the legs. Burns returns to his feet, and lands a clean right hand. Burns launches another body kick, and follows up with a flush cross. Burns misses with a haymaker. Burns shoots in and scores a big takedown into the guard of Saggo. Two unblocked punches land for Burns, but Saggo uses the moment to scramble back to his feet. Burns lands a jab, but Saggo returns a much harder cross. Saggo pumps the jab and lands a big kick to the body. Burns slips a jab, and lands a smooth overhand right that drops Saggo like a sack of potatoes, for the one-punch KO!!!
