Report: Jim Miller vs. Francisco Trinaldo scheduled for UFC Fight Night 119 in Sao Paulo

Two of the more seasoned UFC lightweights will locks horns next month as divisional staple Jim Miller takes on Brazilian powerhouse Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Fight Night 119 on Oct. 28 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside the Ginasio do Ibirapuera arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, per a recent report by Combate (h/t Bloody Elbow)

Miller, 34, is coming off back-to-back losses to former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and proven contender Dustin Poirier. Before that, the New Jersey native racked off three-straight wins over notable veterans Joe Lauzon, Thiago Alves, and Takanori Gomi. Miller has never lost three bouts in a row and will surprisingly be competing on Brazilian soil for the very first time.

Trinaldo, 39, just lost his first bout since 2014 when he was submitted by Kevin Lee back at UFC Fight Night 106 this past March. Before that, the 11-year veteran compiled an impressive seven-fight UFC win streak, which included knockout victories over Paul Felder and Chad Laprise.

UFC Fight Night 119 will be headlined by a middleweight scrap pitting former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida against powerful knockout artist Derek Brunson. It will be Machida’s first Octagon appearance since June 2015.
