Fight fans saw a little bit of everything last night (Sat., April 27, 2019) at UFC on ESPN+ 8 live on ESPN+ from inside BB&T Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as perennial middleweight contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza fell to rising Swedish fighter Jack Hermansson in the main event of the evening (highlights here).
In addition to the middleweight main event, former NFL star Greg Hardy made good on his co-headlining spot with a first-round knockout of Dmitrii Smoliakov, light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira notched his second-straight submission finish when he choked out Ion Cutelaba, welterweight power puncher Mike Perry didn’t get the knockout of Alex Oliveira but still bloodied “Cowboy” up in a main card barn burner, and lightweight veteran Jim Miller scored his 10th Octagon finish with a first-round submission of Jason Gonzalez on the ESPN2 “Prelims.”
