UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to Saturday’s Oakland A’s game.

Couture is in town to promote the same night’s “UFC 117: Silva vs.
Sonnen” event, as well as his own upcoming fight with James Toney at UFC
118 on Aug. 28.

Couture’s first pitch is scheduled for 3:55 p.m. ET (12:55 p.m. PT local time) at Oakland-Alameda
County Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., and the A’s meet the Texas Rangers
immediately following the ceremony.
